What’s the Buzz?

Volkswagen’s Microbus, also Called the Volkswagen Type 2, The Splitscreen, or the Splittie (named for the split windshield) was originally produced from 1950 – 1967. When production ended, the Microbus disappeared into nostalgia. Now early into the 21st Century, its predecessor is back and is loaded with new features in an all-electric version. ID.Buzz carries up to seven people, more efficiently than any other vehicle in its class. Buzz is available in three different trims – Pro S, Pro S Plus, and the 1st Edition (available only at launch). The ID.Buzz, offers flexibility with rear-wheel drive and 4Motion all-wheel-drive configurations. The RWD variations come with 282 hp and an estimated EPA range of 234 miles, whereas the AWD variations come with 335 hp and an estimated EPA range of 231 miles.

Buzz comes with a three-year charging plan from Electrify America which includes a three-year Electrify America Pass + membership with Plug&Charge and 500 kWh of complimentary charging. Pass+ members save about 25 percent with this membership when compared to the member base charging rate with Electrify America Guest Pass. 

Interior Features

Plenty of technological features are engineered into the Buzz from state-of-the-art infotainment screens, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth connections as well as wireless App-Connect: Select Apps right where you need them, plus NAV EV, and Speech EV for hands-free control over your features using voice command technologies. There is plenty of comfort and room for up to seven people, including their gear, and tremendous views with large panoramic windows to let in natural lighting.

Safety Features

Six stability-enhancing features are built into the Buzz from Electronic Brake-Pressure Distribution to Electronic Stability Control. Automatic Post-Collision braking system brings your vehicle to a stop, and an Intelligent Crash Response System (ICRS) deploys the airbags, turns off the fuel pump, unlocks the doors, and activates the hazard lights.
