2024 Volkswagen Atlas Named SUV of The Year at The 2023 Hispanic Motor Press Awards

The 2024 Volkswagen Atlas is earning many awards, including being named the SUV of the year at the 2023 Hispanic Motor Press Awards. For the 14th year, the association has recognized the best vehicles for Hispanic consumers. The selection process is based on detailed evaluations of the style, driving satisfaction, technology, safety, environmental impact, mechanical reliability, and value of the model. While this is a high bar, the 2024 Atlas was able to earn the best marks in these rigorous categories to achieve this honor. The award was presented to Volkswagen Group of America President and CEO Pablo Di Si by Hispanic Motor Press Foundation President Ricardo Rodriguez-Long at AutoMobility LA.

Added Luxuries Inside

The seven-seat Atlas provides added spaciousness inside for more driver and passenger comfort. In addition, luxury touches and features include the option to have premium leatherette upholstery, a leatherette-trimmed soft dash, and a center console. These features are complemented by the new front door trim that seamlessly transitions to the new dash. The feeling is now an upscale space that could be found in any luxury model. Buyers also have the option to take the ambiance to the next level with ambient lighting and an innovative backlighting of the dash, which can be activated in one of 30 available colors to meet your mood and desires. Finally, the Atlas includes climate-controlled front seats, three climate zones, and a heated steering wheel with paddle shifters, all standard features to keep everyone comfortable and enjoying the ride.

The Upgrades for Atlas in 2024

The new Atlas boasts an upgraded and more functional turbocharged motor. The engine has taken the performance and driving experience to the next level for Atlas drivers. Faster acceleration is what drivers notice and mention most often. However, there are also improvements in the greater rev range and torque. The 2024 model is offered in a standard configuration with an 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. However, it can feature Volkswagen’s $Motion all-wheel drive.

More Essential Technology

The Volkswagen IQ.DRIVE driver assist suite is now a standard feature on all trim levels of the 2024 Atlas. The system spotlights a hands-on semi-automatic capability rarely found in vehicles with a much more sizable sticker price. In addition, there is a complete 12-inch center touchscreen and 10.25-inch configurable Volkswagen Digital Cockpit Pro to set up the information and presentation that best meets your needs when driving your new 2024 Atlas. Other new standard tech treats include standard wireless App-Connect, wireless charging, and six USB-C ports with 45-watt fast charging.
