The Golf family is not complete without something that handles the Twin Cities’ four seasons – including winter. Our customers want capability from a versatile station wagon, with ground clearance to get through unplowed streets, and an all-wheel-drive system that will get through every condition – including the road to the cabin after a summer storm.
We call this wagon the Volkswagen Golf Alltrack.
The Alltrack is a practical and useful all-around vehicle with many capabilities. In terms of cargo space, there is plenty of it to haul the fun around: 30.4 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seat up and 66.5 cubic feet total with the rear seats folded down. Plus, the Golf Alltrack offers the complete line of MIB II infotainment systems, with big touch screens for audio and navigation options. It also available to connect to a smartphone via Apple CarPlay, Android Auto or MirrorLink. Combine that with the optional Fender audio system and everyone will be rocking out on the road in style.
All Alltrack models get the 1.8-Liter TSI turbocharged engine, good for 168 horsepower. The Alltrack comes with a six-speed manual transmission standard, with an available six-speed DSG gearbox.
The biggest addition is the 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system, with a selection of drive modes that enable the Alltrack to manage all conditions. When the weather gets worse – especially with ice and snow on the roads -- there is the Off-Road mode that will make the Alltrack handle traction through extreme situations. electronic differential lock and hill descent control also help get the Alltrack out of trouble when traction becomes challenging. There is also plenty of ground clearance to help get through obstacles – 6.9 inches from the bottom of the Alltrack wagon.
The new Golf Alltrack comes with Car-Net. This is the connected car services suite that assists when the Golf Alltrack is involved in an accident, is stolen, or for any other emergencies, and services as needed anytime, every day.
The new Golf Alltrack is also safe. An advanced safety cage locks and a crash-optimized front end protects its occupants from any collision the Golf Alltrack might encounter. There are seven active stability-enhancing systems to keep the Golf Alltrack on the road. Every Golf Alltrack gets anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-pressure distribution, adaptive airbags all around and an Intelligent Crash Response System.
The Golf Alltrack comes with a selection of trims: S, SE, and SEL. Each model has a comprehensive standard equipment list with a few available packages. Pricing for the Golf Alltrack starts at $26,895.
