The Volkswagen Arteon comes equipped with more standard features than ever before. This vehicle provides a substantial middle ground for drivers looking for transportation for the whole family with the zip and speed of a sports car. The Arteon is one of Volkswagen’s newer models in their vehicle lineup.
The Atreon pushes a sedan feel with the open-air hatchback interior and combines with a sleek and modern style more reminiscent of a four-door coupe. The longer and wider wheelbase of the car enables all four passengers to experience a greater amount of leg room and increases the overall area of interior headspace. This vehicle is replacing Volkswagen’s CC in their modern lineup, and with the hatchback rear there is an increased 27 cubic feet of storage space. The SEL models offer fine quality materials for the seats and the interior, heated seats with added ventilation, and even a massage function for the driver.
Like many of its non-sports vehicles, Volkswagen has tuned both the front wheel standard and all wheel drive SEL Premium Atreons for great efficiency. The turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine features a powerful 268 horsepower with 8 speed automatic transmission. The vehicle features a standard adaptive suspension damper, which can be customized to suit the individual’s driving preferences and switched between custom, normal, or sport settings. These affect steering, engine control, transmission and adaptive cruise control. The optional 18, 19, or 20-inch alloy wheels provide smooth and composed travel.
Along with the customizable driver settings, the Arteon also has options for their 4-motion all wheel drive vehicles. This enables the driver to input presets that communicate road conditions to the vehicle, and enables responses based on whether you are driving through snow, going off road, or other extreme conditions.
The Atreon comes with many modern abilities featuring connectivity. Integration of mobile phones via the Android Auto/Apple CarPlay systems come standard with 8-inch touchscreens and two USB ports. The SEL models come equipped with a customizable instrument panel and options for navigational services. The option for Volkswagen’s CarNet is available as well, which allows for stolen vehicle tracking, accident reporting, and other navigation-based information such as sports scores, weather reports, and local fuel price comparisons.
Because the Arteon boasts several features that are standard throughout the entire line, there are some very unique safety features that are available to everyone. Standard safety features of the car include a rear-view camera, intuitive emergency braking, blind spot assist, rear traffic warning, and a front collision alert system.
Optional with the Arteon in its SEL premium models are adaptive cruise control, high beam control, lane assist, parking and steering assist, and an overhead view camera.
