The Volkswagen Arteon gets a nice refresh in 2022 and is available in three trims, the SE R-Line, SEL R-Line, and the SEL Premium R-Line. The 2022 Arteon takes inspiration from classic sports cars when it comes to the exterior design of the sedan. Featured with an illuminated light bar in the grille is the SEL R-Line and the SEL Premium R-Line. Using light as new chrome to set off the modern front end design, the light bar connects with the daytime running lights to surround the Volkswagen logo. The spacious interior of the Arteon received significant updates including a completely redesigned dash, center console, and top sections of the door trims. Powerful Powertrain

The 2022 Volkswagen Arteon is now powered by the EA888 2.0-liter turbocharged direct-injection TSI engine. The powerful four-cylinder engine produces 300 horsepower with 295 lb-ft of torque and is paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission with Tiptronic. Arteon models that are front-wheel-drive have a fuel rating of 24 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. Models equipped with 4Motion all-wheel-drive are estimated to get 22 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. 4Motion is standard in the SEL and SEL Premium R-Line models, and the 4Motion system is designed to activate before wheelspin occurs.

Dependable Safety

The 2022 Arteon provides a combination of both passive and active safety systems to better protect passengers. The Arteon features eight airbags, along with electronic safety systems like Anti-lock Braking System and Electronic Stability Control. Standard on all models is the Volkswagen Intelligent Crash Response System that automatically shuts off the fuel pump, switches on the hazards, and unlocks the doors if the vehicle was involved in a certain type of collision.
