The Jetta TDI features a 2.0L, 140 horsepower TDI engine with 236 pounds/feet of torque. The TDI engine comes available with either a 6-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic and Sport mode (30/city, 42/highway mpg) or a 6-speed manual transmission (30/city, 42/highway mpg). Topping off the line is the Jetta GLI, which provides a 2.0T, 200 horsepower TSI engine with 207 pounds/feet of torque, available in either a 6-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic and Sport mode (24/city, 32/highway mpg) or a 6-speed manual transmission (24/city, 32/highway mpg). |

2012 JETTA STANDARD FEATURES & OPTIONS
All 2012 Jetta models come standard with an variety of amenities. The Jetta S may have a low starting price, but it still comes surprisingly well-equipped, with features that include a window diversity antenna, Immobilizer III theft-deterrent system, alarm preparation, an automatic locking feature (doors lock when the vehicle reaches 8 mph and unlock automatically upon airbag deployment), AUX-in for portable audio players, and power windows with pinch protection and one-touch up/down feature for all four windows. Building on the Jetta S is the Jetta S with Sunroof, which adds a power tilting/sliding tinted sunroof, a front center armrest with storage compartment, and cruise control.
The next Jetta trim model, the SE, also builds on the S model, while adding heated power side mirrors with integrated side turn signals, 16" steel wheels, illuminated vanity mirrors, V-Tex leatherette seating surfaces, cruise control and a front center armrest with a storage compartment. The SE with Convenience builds on the SE by adding a roof-mounted satellite radio antenna, wheel locks, 16" Sedona alloy wheels, heated windshield washer nozzles, 2 additional speakers (totaling 6), a Bluetooth hands-free calling system, SIRIUS Satellite Radio (with 3-month trial subscription), a media device interface (MDI) with iPod cable, and heated front seats, as well as a leather-wrapped, multi-function steering wheel with Bluetooth and audio controls. Next in the trim line, the Jetta SEL comes loaded with premium features like the exclusive Fender Premium Audio System. It looks and feels twice the price. The SEL builds on the SE with Convenience and Sunroof model and adds a chrome grille, halogen reflector-lens foglights, chrome window trim, 17" Joda alloy wheels, a multi-function trip computer, keyless access with push-button start, the RNS 315 navigation system and metallic-look matte chrome interior trim.
In a class of its own, the Jetta TDI comes equipped with the TDI Clean Diesel engine and all of the SE with Convenience features, along with a multi-function trip computer, rear disc brakes, 16" Mambo alloy wheels and electromechanical power steering with variable assistance and active return. The TDI Premium adds a 6-speaker touchscreen Premium VIII sound system, a power tilting/sliding tinted sunroof and a Fender Premium Audio System. And the top model, the TDI Premium with Navigation adds a chrome grille and keyless access with push-button start.
For the Jetta GLI, a turbocharged engine and premium features all add up to a look that says fast. The GLI boasts darkened taillights, a 6-speaker touchscreen Premium VIII sound system and 17" alloy wheels, as well as a leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel with Bluetooth, audio and trip computer controls. The GLI Autobahn adds a power tilting/sliding tinted sunroof, 18" alloy wheels and heated windshield washer nozzles. And, lastly, the GLI Autobahn with Navigation tops off with the RNS 315 navigation system and keyless access with push-button start.
